Walgreens and CVS Drugstore Shopping for 2/3/2013

Untitled

Hit the drugstores this morning, despite a light snow fall. Fortunately the roads were great! Here’s what I bought, starting at Walgreens:

Transaction #1:
Culturelle Kids Probiotic, $10.00
Azo Cranberry, $9.99
2 Doritos, $3.98. Used $1/2 Doritos Printable coupon
4 Nestle Chunky, $2.00
Poise Towelettes, $3.99. Used $3/1 Poise from the 1/13 SS and Free coupon from the 2/3 SS
4 Nestle Crunch Valentine Hearts, $1.56. Used two Use BOGO Free Nestle Valentine Heart Printable coupons (deducted 0.50 each)
Dickinson Aseptic, $5.99

Total after coupons was $24.73 and I paid with $19.50 in RR and the rest on a credit card. Got back $20 in RR ($10 for the Culturelle and $10 for the Azo) and 1000 BR for the Nestle. Will submit for te $5.99 back for the Dickinson. Net profit $2.26 with a savings of $72.01.

Transaction #2:
Poise Towelettes, $3.99. Used $3/1 Poise from the 1/13 SS and Free coupon from the 2/3 SS
Azo Cranberry, $9.99
Nice! Eggs, $1.29

Total after coupons was $8.28 and I got back $10 for the Azo, so net profit $1.72 with a savings of $19.69. Off to CVS…

2 Scott 1000 Sheet Bathroom Tissue, $14.98. Used $1/2 from the 1/13 SS
4 Diet Pepsi 2 liters, $3.96. Used two $1.80/2 printables
5 Glade Expressions Mist, $10.00. Used five $2/1 Glade Expressions Printable coupons
1 Gillette Venus Razor, $6.99. Used $2/1 from the 1/27 PG
2 Mr. Clean, $5.00. Used two 0.50/1 from the 1/27 PG. Will count toward my $5 back on Charmin, Febreze, or Mr. Clean from SavingStar
2 Skintimate, not pictured, $9.98 (see below). Tried to use BOGO Free printable and 0.55/1 from the 1/13 SS

Total after coupons was $37.02 and I paid with a $6 ECB and the rest on a credit card. Got back a $10 cash card $2 ECB for the Skintimate, and $4 ECB for the Venus. Noticed that the Skintimate rang up at $4.49 and the BOGO coupon only deducted $3.00 (maximum allowed). I decided to return these, as I didn’t want them enough to pay $1.72 each. The cashier credited my account $9.68. I gave back the $2 ECB. Net cost: $13.34 with a savings of $54.38.

Total net cost for everything in the photo: $9.36 with a savings of $146.08 :-)

I read on SD that using both coupons on the Poise wouldn’t work. Did your coupons beep? I was only going to get them for the overage, but don’t want any hassle at the register.

  2. Pam says:

For the Poise, do both coupons (store and MQ) scan without any cashier interventions?

Do both poise coupons scan without cashier intervention? Store coupon and manufacturer?

Thanks…worked for me today as well. My cashier scanned the wags q first. And worked just fine, too. Good deal : )

I can’t get the $1 off 2 Doritoes coupon-it says link is broken. Can you repost the website that has the coupon? Thanks!
