Untitled

Headed out to the drugstores this morning. Here’s what I bought, starting at Walgreens.

Transaction #1:
2 Mucinex Extra Strength, $10.99 ea, $21.98. Used $2/1 Mucinex Printables
1 Mandarin Orange, 0.67 with in-ad coupon

Total after coupons was $19.06 and I paid with a $10 RR and the rest on a credit card. Got back 8000 Balance Rewards points so net cost $11.06 with a savings of $24.00. Note the Walgreens ad indicates you will get 4000 BR when you buy two, but it is ringing up with 4000 BR on each one!

Transaction #2:
Pur-Absorb $10.00. Used $3/1 printable (NLA)
KY Ultra Gel, $5.99. Used $2/1 from the 12/9 RP
Mandarin Orange, 0.67 with in-ad coupon

Total after coupons was $10.82 and I paid with a $10 RR and the rest in cash. Got back $16 in RR ($10 for the Pur Absorb and $6 for the KY) so net profit $5.18 with a savings of $30.63.

Transaction #3:
KY Ultra Gel, $5.99. Used $2/1 from the 12/9 RP
4 Chex Mix, $3.96. Used four 0.50/1 Chex Mix Printable coupons

Total after coupons was $6.48 (paid with credit card). Got back $6 in RR so net cost 0.48 with a savings of $14.54. Off to CVS…

3 Dove Men + Care Soap, $6.50 ea, $19.50. Used three $4/1 from the 1/27 RP
2 Children’s Advil, $4.99 ea, $9.98. Used BOGO Free Advil Printable coupon (NLA) and $1/1 from the 1/27 RP (the BOGO Free coupon deducted $7.20 – thanks, Francesca!)
Centrum, $6.99. Used $3/1 from the 1/27 RP
3 Gevalia, $5.99 ea, $17.97. Used three $1.50/1 from the 1/13 SS

Also had a $10/$50 CVS Store coupon. Total after coupons was $18.47 and I got bck $14 in ECB ($5 for the Gevalia, $4 for the Advil, and $5 for the Dove). Will send in for the $6 MIR for buying three Pfizer products, so net profit $1.53 with a savings of $67.57.

Net cost for everything in the photo: $4.83 with a savings of $136.74 :-)

I was wondering, I heard that the limit for the advil etc. deal was now 2? do you know if this is true?

    • Christy says:

Lindsey it might be! I’m looking over my receipt and it does not say, “Offer Limit Reached” like it did with the Grocery deal. I’ll have to try this again later in the week, so thanks :-)

  2. Angel says:

is the muddy buddies included this time around?

  3. Joanna says:

Im just wondering how you are able to purchase 2 Advil use a B1G1 free coupon ( requiring you to purchase 2 to use the coupon) AND a $1/1 coupon (which would require you to purchase an additional Advil) ? You only purchased 2. Those 2 are covered on the B1G1 coupon. Using an additional $1 coupon is using more than 1 on the same item which is not allowed. Please clarify

    • Christy says:

Joanna my CVS store has always allowed the use of a coupon against a Free item. While some stores do not allow this (Meijer, for example), some do (like Walgreens). HTH :-)

  4. Joe says:

Where is the Bogo coupon for Centrum vitamins?

  5. Joe says:

Where is the BOGO Centrum Vitamins coupon from?

    • Christy says:

Joe, thanks for catching my typo. I added that the BOGO Free dedcted $7.20 after Francesca commented on Facebook, and I just put it on the wrong line. I used a BOGO Free Advil printable coupon from Facebook. It looks like they are now offering a $1.50/1 Children’s Advil printable.
