First I have to tell you that we have three birthdays in our family in the month of January, so I always buy candy after Christmas for goody bags and gifts. It is difficult to buy for the guy who needs nothing (my dear DH), let alone one week after Christmas! The kids will be giving him some chocolate with some new CDs this year. So since I had to run out to pick up my 14 yo at the movies and I was going right past Jewel….
4 bags Hershey’s Nuggets, clearance priced at $1.67 ea, $6.68. Used two $1.10/2 Hershey’s Printable coupons
2 Dove White Chocolate Promises, clearance priced at $2.14, $4.28. Used $1/2 Mars or Dove Promises Printable coupon
Total after coupons should have been $8.36 (with tax) but I just realized that all the candy rang up higher than the shelf price. I didn’t catch it at the store since I was in a hurry to get home. So rats. The nuggets rang up at $1.74 (sign said $1.67) and the Dove rang up at $2.45 (sign said $2.14). Total was $9.57 and I paid with the $7 in OYNO I received this morning and the rest on a credit card. Savings of $22.05.
If I take the receipt back to Jewel, do I get it Free?
No you don’t get it free. You only get the difference.

Unfortunately they ended their price guarantee a while back. Now you just get the difference, you no longer get the item free.
